Injen Gets Slam'd by Slamdmag.com for our Subaru WRX Evolution Air Intake EVO1206

Our good friends over at Slam'd  visited the factory to watch us Dyno Test Injen's new Evolution air induction system for the Subaru WRX, the EVO1206.  They have done a terrific post on the install which you can read about here

“First and foremost, this is the only hybrid cold air intake system available for the STI – meaning we have an aluminum tube that includes our patented air fusion tuning process, along with a fully rotational molded, enclosed induction system.” – Jay Crouch, Injen Technology

Here are the results from the Dyno Test:

"After a proper install owners can expect to see output boosted by around 26 horses and 35.5 foot-pounds of twist, for a total of 271awhp at ~5400prm and 275awtq at ~4600rpm; very impressive indeed! "

Thanks for the visit, Guys!  We're glad you were impressed with our Evolution series. Feel free to come by anytime!

Injen in Dubai to Test Rare Vehicle Applications for the International Market

There's no length we won't go to design and test our intakes for vehicles around the globe. We just proved that by heading to Dubai, UAE in Mid- January to visit our distributor there - AEV : Advanced Expedition Vehicles and RADMAN 4X4 AUTO ACCESSORIE LLC to design, test, and fit our latest innovation in the Evolution line of Air Induction Systems especially for the harsh conditions found in the desert.

Here, Paul Ho of the R&D team, Ed Rossi VP of Sales, and Salim Radmanesh of Radman are removing the stock OE intake from a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. This install is unique because it has a mechanical fan – due to the very high ambient temperatures experienced in the Middle East region. The axillary fan is need to allow the radiator to keep cooling the engine blocks. Injen came to the region to test fit our new Evolution polyethylene roto-molded air box in this application.

See Radman on Instagram here.

We test fit and made design changes to four different Middle East cold air intake applications.  We are test fitting our 3D printed prototype on a 2015 Nissan Patrol 400HP model. this particular air induction kit has our first cold air intake “window” –so that you can view our Dry SuperNano-Web filter. Additionally, you will notice that this cold air intake will be fitted with our Injen Filter Minder – that allows you to quickly check to see if your filter needs service (cleaning).   Injen SuperNano-Web filters are good for 100,000 miles or 4 years.

AEV is another Injen Distributor in Dubai, UAE,  specializing in the Off Road/Jeep market.  . They distribute the INJEN line of performance cold air intakes, especially our Jeep Snorkels.

You can find them on Facebook and Instagram

Dean Schlingmann Motorsports Wins Class 8 SNORE "Rage at the River"

On December 12th, heading into the final leg of the SNORE (Southern Nevada OffRoad Enthusiasts) Rage at the River,  Dean Schlingmann Motorsports was in the lead over the rest of the competitors in the Class 8 field and was looking to increase that lead with a dominant performance. For Class 8, that meant that Schlingmann's team was focused on their game 24-7 to keep their position as leader of the pack.

From the moment the starter flag was dropped, the DSM team never looked back. The two day SNORE event, held in Laughlin, NV is home to 390 race entries and thousands of race fans who come to the banks of the Colorado River to see some of the best in Off Road Racing. They were not disappointed.

Racing for two days, over a 12.5 mile course, Dean Schlingmann and Mike Davis piloted the Injen Technology  class 8 rebuilt Ford F-150 truck to a class win on one of the roughest race courses the duo had seen. The McKenzie Rage at the River is comprised of high speed (100+ mph) sections as well as some of the harshest low speed technical areas the Nevada desert can muster.

Throughout the event, Schlingmann's rebuilt F150 (his former "daily hauler" while as a student at UC-Riverside that was stripped and repurposed as a race truck) performed admirably with the BFGoodrich KR tires on Raceline Monster wheels put the power to the ground produced by the 410cu-in Windsor built by Southwest Racing Engines. This gave "Layla" the base for his superior race performance.

As a 2X payout for the weekend, the class win also meant that the team at Dean Schlingmann Motorsports sealed their 2015 SNORE Class 8 Championship. During the post-race team meeting, Dean commented that “this win and this championship are the result of the endless efforts or our team members and our sponsors. Without them all, this wouldn’t have happened. Thanks go to you all”.

Injen Technology is proud to sponsor Dean Schlingmann Motorsports' major win in the SNORE and look forward to further racing BITD, MORE, and SCORE events.

Here's a video of the DSM truck as it was being assembled and road tested back in 2006.

See You at This Year's King of the Hammers!

This year Injen Technology will be attending the event that started it all, the 10th anniversary of the toughest offroad race ever -- the Nitto King of the Hammers presented by 4 Wheel Parts!

King of the Hammers will take place Friday, February 5 - 7th, 2016. King of the Hammers is an off-road race that combines desert racing and rock crawling. This race is held in February on Means Dry Lake at Johnson Valley, California USA. The race is broadcast live on the Internet at www.ultra4racing.com/live each year. In years past, in the evenings, Roxy TV was a nightly television show from the lake bed in Hammertown.

King of The Hammers race week has expanded from one race, King of The Hammers, held each year on Friday, to a series of 5 races held throughout the week. The races include:
  • King of The Motos on Sunday
  • The KOH UTV Race on Wednesday
  • The Every Man Challenge Race on Thursday
  • and a new ULTRA4 vs. Rock Bouncer shootout held on Monday night of race week

The race vehicles used at the King of the Hammers are known as Ultra 4 vehicles which are capable of speeds over 100 miles per hour for the desert sections, but still contain gear ratios of 100 to 1 or lower for technical rock crawling. This Ultra4 class is unlimited 4400, and every vehicle is custom fabricated by each team. Traditional design for the front drive-train is a straight axle design, but (IFS) or (Independent front suspension) is becoming a popular design for the high speeds achieved in the wide open plains of the desert. Most racers use highly modified GM V8 engines that can have up to (800 hp). 40" tires are common and racers use beadlock wheels.

Competitors start side-by-side, two vehicles every thirty seconds, and must complete the 165-mile course in less than 14 hours. Each team must pass through seven checkpoints and at all times while staying within one hundred feet of the centerline of the course. KOH is a no-chase-team race; repairs can only be done on the track by the racers or in the pit area

Look for the Injen Technology booth at the event.  We will be displaying products for the offroad market as well as other Injen merchandise!

Tell us on Facebook that you're coming to Hammertown!
